Xverse Cash Is Here: Rewards, Lightning Payments, and What’s Next

We’re excited to introduce Cash, our newest in-wallet feature designed to lay the groundwork for neobank capabilities within the Bitcoin ecosystem. 

Cash introduces new ways to fund and manage stablecoin balances and brings stablecoins into one place directly in your Xverse wallet.

What’s New in Cash v1?

With Cash, we are building a true Bitcoin neobank layer that allows you to spend, earn, borrow, and move money seamlessly across rails, with all the necessary features and tools in one place.

At its core, Cash is a new tab in the wallet’s navigation bar that focuses on stablecoins and currently supports Starknet (USDC), Spark (USDB) and Stacks (USDCx). The feature includes tools to fund your account, pay using those funds, and convert them. 

While we’re rolling out more features in the coming months, here’s what you can do with Cash already.

​​Earn USDB Rewards & View Them In-App

You’ve probably already heard about USDB rewards, which let you earn yield by holding and trading the Spark-based USDB stablecoin.

Cash lets you track your USDB rewards directly in Xverse, under the Rewards tab. 

As the name suggests, this section is where active reward offers are shown, so it’s worth checking back to see how much BTC you’ve accrued through the USDB rewards program, as well as any other offers that might be available.

Lightning Payments via Spark

Lightning payments are among the first capabilities we’re launching in Cash, so you can enjoy the ease of use, speed, and low costs promised by both Spark and Lightning Network, which are available to you at all times.

Lightning payments on Spark, including both sending and receiving funds, are available through the Pay flow in the Cash tab, as well as the standard Send flow from the Crypto tab. This ensures that payments are always accessible, regardless of your starting point.

The Xverse Card is Coming: Join the Waitlist
